M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film… is it anti-evolution, anti-science?
Last week M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film, “The Happening”, hit theaters. I’ve enjoyed all of his movies thus far and plan on seeing “The Happening” at some point this week.
I was surprised to read the following on Science Blogs:
Following on the heels of the intelligent design documentary Expelled, M. Night Shyamalan’s blockbuster film The Happening is angering critics who disagree with its strong anti-evolution themes. The movie follows a science teacher who calls evolution “just a theory,” and encourages his students to believe in unexplained “acts of nature.”
Well, that won’t stop me from seeing it of course, but I thought it was interesting enough to share, anyway.
